Paul who held office as a ward councillor between 2012 – 2021 was asked by the local party to serve his community again. He said, ‘I have always taken pride in helping people, whether as a school governor, a friends of garden trustee, chair of safety at sports grounds or general sounding board in my community.’
In the past Paul has raised Lottery funding for both Abbotsfield Parkers & Friends of Flixton Gardens, helped Trafford Housing Trust with a tree planning program, represented Trafford as the nominated governor at both the Central Manchester Hospital Trust and the Greater Manchester Waste Committee.
What spare time he has is spent watching his son play for Trafford Dragons U14s football team and his daughter perform at Stretford Hall drama group and been part of the troop at the local amateur dramatics club Footlights Theatre.
He relaxes by playing cards as part of a local league and volunteering a large part of his week working as a activities co-ordinator for a residential and dementia care home.
