Ali Aydogdu, a local Conservative campaigner has welcomed new funding from the Conservative Government for Stretford Public Hall - Investment for the Future who will receive £280,000 from the expanded £150 million Community Ownership Fund.
The Conservative Government’s Community Ownership Fund is allowing community groups in North Trafford to take ownership of assets and amenities at risk of being lost for example through public sale.
Thanks to this scheme, voluntary and community groups can bid for funding to acquire important assets, including pubs, so they can run them for the benefit of the local community.
This is just the latest round of funding as the Conservative Government continues to deliver on its levelling up agenda, spreading opportunities and prosperity across the country, whilst also delivering on its five priorities to halve inflation, grow the economy, reduce debt, cut waiting lists and stop the boats.
Commenting, Ali Aydogdu said:

“People across North Trafford will be delighted to hear our local bid was successful, showing the Conservative Government’s levelling up agenda in action.”
Commenting, Minister for Levelling Up, Jacob Young MP said:
“Our priority is to support communities and deliver opportunities right across the country, which is why we’re investing £12.3 million to secure the future of cherished community institutions.
“These places – from pubs to historic railway lines – are the golden thread which run through our social fabric and keeping them going is vital for supporting communities.”
