Hundreds of claimant families across North Trafford receiving tax credits, and no other means-tested benefits, will get their second Cost of Living Payment from Wednesday 23 November 2022. This £324 government payment will be paid automatically into most eligible tax credit-only residents' bank accounts between 23 and 30 November 2022. The payment will follow the first cost of living payment of £326, which eligible families have already received.
Commenting on the news, local Conservative campaigner Tracey Haworth said “This second Cost of Living Payment will provide further financial support to eligible tax credit-only claimants across North Trafford and comes on top of wider government support with the cost of living this autumn and winter. This is very welcome news for local families and I welcome it as part of the £37 billion package of support for households across the UK.”
