Jonathan Coupe from North Trafford Local Conservatives has welcomed the award of £97,902 from the Conservative Government to Trafford Council to help for deal with the backlog in planning applications. Trafford is one of 111 local authorities to receive funding to reduce its backlog through the Planning Skills Delivery Fund.
Commenting on the new funding, Jonathan Coupe said “As a former member of Trafford’s Planning and Development Management Committee, I know how busy the Planning Team can be in processing applications through the various planning stages.
“This additional funding from the Conservative Government will really help to increase capacity in the team and get decisions made more quickly to help deliver more of the much-needed new homes and home improvements across Trafford.”
